An Unconventional Journey to Full-Time Writing

A success story for aspiring authors, this report – already seen and used by thousands of people online – is for bloggers, writers and anyone interested in creating a new career or expanding their influence using social media.

It is the story of how the author, Chris Guillebeau, began a new career as a full-time writer a few years ago, to reach a point where he travels to more than 20 countries around the world each year, speaking at media events about his books. One of his books The $100 Startup was a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller, selling more than 500,000 copies worldwide.

He states his philosophy as follows:

You don’t have to live your life the way other people expect.

You can do good things for yourself and help other people at the same time.

If you don’t decide for yourself what you want to get out of life, someone else will end up deciding it for you.

There is usually more than one way to accomplish something.

One might add that everyone needs help; a mentor who will help to keep you on the right path to achieve your dream. And I can think of no better person than Chris Guillebeau to do just that.

Chris was kind enough to agree to include his 279 Days to Overnight Success on my website, which may well be the starting point for many of the aspiring authors I’ve come across. It will, at the very least, I can promise you, make you think about your own plans to write and market your own book.
